Salute for the King

I really love when a song have variation and dynamics and tells a story. With this song I really want to capture the moment in time. Salute for the king my way to say thanks and love & to all people I have met and supported me through the years on the road with all different bands I have been involved in.

Every concert and meeting is unique. I always try to live in the present and the time is now as I sing in the opening phrases in the lyrics for Salute for the King.
In my vision I wanted to write a song with elements from Queen, Thin Lizzy & Rainbow where you have the drama mixed with classic rock like Rainbow´s Long Live Rock´n´roll.

Stephen nice way of playing both acoustic & electric guitars with variation in this song is so good as I wanted to mix different styles and also the way I sing is different in this song and with Viktor´s incredible work as sound engineer and producer with me and Olov conquered and the result is in my opinion stunning. We tested different things to produce the vocals and also to mix the bass & drums with percussion elements as well and I am extremely proud of this song.

When I hear it I it reminds of all 1000 + hours I have spent listening to albums by Queen, Rainbow, The Sweet, Thin Lizzy and more and also watching these bands live.
I am very blessed also to meet several of these great musicians in real life such as Brian May (Queen), Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow) and I see music as a God given gift to mankind and nothing is better when this goes hand in hand.

The power of music is wonderful and listening to one song can change a depressed mind into sunlight. Music was my first love and it will be my last, wonderful lines John Miles wrote in his majestic song “Music”
